Two major leaders of Britain's solidarity movement for Palestine are facing trial for a protest over a year ago, where police restricted their plans to lay flowers outside the BBC in memory of Gaza's children.

The British Museum has faced protests for editing its historical displays, removing references to ancient Palestine and replacing them with Canaan and Canaanite descent, following lobbying by the UK Lawyers for Israel.

The High Court in Britain has ruled the ban on Palestine Action is unlawful, disproportionate to free speech, and a breach of policy by former Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, imposed last July, which led to nearly 3,000 arrests under terrorism legislation.

UK authorities have arrested a Press TV contributor and pro-Palestinian political activist as part of their politically motivated crackdown on pro-Palestinian voices.

In August 2024, activists from the Palestine Action group stormed an Elbit Systems factory in the UK, disrupting operations for months. They were arrested under anti-terrorism laws and detained for over a year before facing trial at Woolwich Crown Court.

Protests have been held across Europe in support of Palestine and denouncing Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire in Gaza.
