The Turkish city of Istanbul witnessed heavy rainfall that caused its streets to flood and water levels to rise, leading to residents being trapped and traffic coming to a halt across large areas of the city.
In other scenes, passengers of a stranded bus tried to evacuate it through its roof, as water submerged buses and cars in the streets.
One passerby was seen pushing a motorcycle through the accumulated water, while other vehicles drove cautiously through flooded streets.
Water filled roads and underpasses, stranding vehicles in several districts, including Esenyurt and Sultangazi. Floodwater entered homes, businesses and building basements.
