Iran’s decisive strikes have neutralized virtually all the United States’ capabilities at its 17 regional bases, says an adviser to the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif said on Wednesday that the enemies of Iran “never imagined they would suffer a blow like this.” General Sharif made the remarks during a ceremony in Mashhad in reference to Washington and Israel.

“Since World War II, no one had dared to fire a single shot at US bases; yet, observe what Iranian fighters from various branches of the armed forces have done to them now.”

The Iranian general also commented on the role of certain regional countries in the US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, hoping that those countries would “learn the lesson.”

“The era of the United States and Israel has come to an end.”

General Sharif said the two regimes deployed their full capacity when they launched the aggression against Iran, aiming to overthrow the Islamic establishment within a few days.

The commander said the United States and Israel thought that by assassinating Iran’s commanders and senior officials, they could deal a blow to the Islamic Republic, “but they failed.”

The aggressors will pay dearly for their crimes, the Iranian commander said. “By assassinating the Leader, they took a great risk that will come at a great cost.”

The United States and Israel launched their illegal war of aggression on February 28, some eight months after the unprovoked attacks of June 2025.

Iran responded decisively in the form of successful missile and drone strikes on the Israeli-occupied territories and US bases across the region. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic are now in full control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
