Israeli attacks kill 7 Palestinians in central, northern Gaza over 48 hours: Health Ministry
At least seven Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past 48 hours, with another 38 people wounded, according to a report by the Health Ministry.
Gaza Health Ministry said in a post on X that most of the victims were brought from the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and the Nuseirat refugee camp, where Israeli forces had been conducting intense fire.
According to the ministry, the bodies of seven killed residents were brought to Gaza hospitals, and medical aid was provided to 38 wounded individuals, including women and children.
Gaza’s death toll since the start of the genocidal Israeli war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 74,016, with 175,068 Palestinians injured, according to medical authorities.
They say that an unknown number of Palestinians remain trapped beneath destroyed buildings and on roads, while ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach them.
Nearly a year after the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in October 2025, civilians in Gaza continue to face life-threatening risks amid widespread destruction, immense humanitarian needs, ongoing strikes and restrictions on the entry of essential supplies and equipment, and critical funding shortfalls.
Since the October 2025 ceasefire, Israeli attacks have killed 1,415 Palestinians and injured 4,953.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warns that these risks are becoming increasingly acute as winter approaches.
Last winter, at least 11 children in the Gaza Strip, including infants, were reported to have died from hypothermia, according to UNICEF.
The NGO Network said last week that 26 of Gaza’s 38 hospitals have stopped operating since the start of the war.
The remaining facilities are struggling with major shortages, with medicine supplies estimated to be about 50 percent below requirements and medical consumables facing a deficit of around 58 percent.
Hospitals are also struggling to maintain their generators amid Gaza’s prolonged electricity outage.
