Floodwaters turn deadly in Indiana, leaving six dead
Cars and buildings stood partially submerged in floodwaters in Noblesville, Indiana, on Saturday as powerful storms and floods swept through the region, killing at least six people — among them a four-year-old boy, state officials said.
The storms had cut power to nearly one million utility customers across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky on Tuesday, August 11, local media reported
US President Donald Trump approved Indiana state's request for a presidential emergency declaration on Saturday, paving the way for federal aid. This follows the declaration of a statewide emergency by Indiana Governor Mike Braun on Thursday, August 13.
