Chehour, a village in South Lebanon’s Tyre district, is among many communities that have played a central role in the region’s history of resistance against occupation.

Its residents were among the last to leave their village during the most recent war. Now, with the village located near Israel’s so-called yellow line, returning residents are under growing pressure as they try to rebuild.
