Enemies cannot weaken Iran’s resolve through pressure: Top military advisor
A top military advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei says Iran’s enemies can no longer weaken the nation’s resolve through political and economic pressure as the country’s resilience and military capabilities continue to grow.
"The resilience power of the Iranian nation has increased, and enemies cannot weaken the Iranian nation's will through political and economic pressure," Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Sunday.
He added that Iran's armed forces have influenced the enemies’ calculations by employing new initiatives and changing the dynamics of the battlefield.
Pointing to regional developments and the state of the resistance front, he emphasized, “Today, the confrontation between the resistance front of regional nations and the global arrogance has become one of the most important developments in the region.”
Rahim-Safavi, a former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), noted that the continued resistance of the Iranian nation and the presence of fighters confronting oppression and arrogance have led to great achievements.
"Today, the signs of the declining power of child-killing regimes and the increasing power of the Iranian nation, as one of the key powers of the West Asia region, are evident," he said.
He hailed Iran's “considerable progress” in various fields, including science, technology, medicine, and defense despite pressures and sanctions.
Rahim Safavi noted that Iran’s scientific and medical technological advancements are the result of the efforts of the country’s scientists, physicians, and youth.
He outlined three possible scenarios facing the enemies regarding the future of regional developments, including the expansion of the war scope and a wider direct involvement, an expansion of Israeli military actions, and the continuation of the current pattern of limited operations.
"My assessment is that the enemies will try to maintain the status quo until certain political developments in the United States become clear, but nations’ resistance and the armed forces’ actions can change the equations on the ground," the top military official emphasized.
He said changing the battlefield remains a critical factor in warfare, adding that resistance groups are employing new methods and initiatives while enemies also try to alter the situation through various actions.
"Managing wartime conditions is very difficult and requires the intelligence of military commanders and political officials," he emphasized.
Rahim Safavi once again reiterated the Iranian armed forces’ preparedness, prudence and resistance to prevent the enemies from achieving their goals.
