At least one Israeli has been killed and another injured in an operation allegedly involving a car-ramming, gunfire, and stabbing in northern occupied territories.
The retaliatory operation was carried out on a road near Yokne’am, southeast of Haifa on Monday.
Israeli police said the assailant initially rammed his vehicle into several people waiting at a bus stop, then exited his car with a rifle and opened fire on passing vehicles.
The assailant, it added, was shot dead by the regime's forces who arrived at the scene.
A 75-year-old man was shot dead during the attack, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. A 20-year-old man, who was stabbed, is in a critical and unstable condition.
Palestinians have in the past launched similar operations in different parts of the occupied lands. They say the operations are in retaliation for Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
The occupying regime is currently waging a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip while conducting deadly raids in several areas across the occupied West Bank.
