Israeli airstrikes have killed at least six Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
A strike near the key Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza on Tuesday killed five people, hours after a woman was killed near the southern city of Rafah.
The Health Ministry in Gaza said in its latest report that Gaza hospitals have received at least 14 wounded people in 24 hours.
Rescue workers also recovered 32 bodies from under rubble in Gaza, the ministry said.
The latest deaths and recovered bodies have pushed the overall death toll from Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023 to at least 48,503, with 111,927 others wounded, according to the ministry figures.
The Government Media Office in Gaza, however, has put the death toll at more than 61,000, saying thousands of people missing under rubble are now presumed dead.
Palestinian officials estimate 10,000 bodies are under the debris covering Gaza after the devastating Israeli campaign of genocide.
Israel kills 3 people in West Bank
Israel’s aggression in the occupied West Bank has also killed at least three people.
The Ramallah-based Palestinian health ministry said it had been informed by Israeli authorities "about the martyrdom of two citizens" who were shot dead on Tuesday morning.
The ministry said a Palestinian woman, Fayza Ibrahim Abu Ghali, 58, was also "martyred due to occupation's aggression on Jenin.”
Roland Friedrich, director of West Bank affairs for UNRWA— the UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees—warned on Tuesday that there are “growing concerns that the reality being created on the ground aligns with the vision of annexation of the West Bank.”
Friedrich said about 40,000 people "have been forcibly displaced from their homes" in the northern part of the West Bank, mainly from three refugee camps where the aggression began.
The aggression initially focused on Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, where UNRWA operates, but has since expanded to more areas of the north.
