EU members divided over rearmament plan

EU member states have recently decided to boost their defense spending and fund a massive rearmament plan as fears grow that the United States – Europe’s longtime security guarantor – is stepping back from its commitments. This situation is creating deep divisions for different reasons among the bloc's members, including Italy.
