Two Israeli soldiers flee Amsterdam over fears of arrest for Gaza war

This combo picture shows the two Israeli soldiers who fought in Gaza and had to flee Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and return to the Israeli-occupied lands after the pro-Palestinian organization Israeli Genocide Tracker tracked them down on social media.

Two Israeli soldiers, who participated in the Tel Aviv regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza, have had no option but to flee the Netherlands and return to the occupied territories after pro-Palestinian groups tracked them down on social media.

Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported that the soldiers packed up and left Amsterdam after organizations working to issue arrest warrants against Israeli soldiers circulated their pictures.

This came a day after the Israeli Genocide Tracker, a pro-Palestinian organization, published photos of the soldiers on the social media platform X.

“After participating in the Gaza genocide, this Israeli tank commander from the 52nd Battalion, who was involved in kidnapping hundreds of civilians (especially in Jabalia) and who enjoyed taking selfies with them, landed in Amsterdam today for a vacation,” it said in the post.

According to the Israeli Channel 12 television channel, the two soldiers had received permission to travel to the Netherlands.

The Israeli military, however, came to the conclusion that the soldiers must cut their vacation short and return. They were also ordered to delete all footage related to the military campaign in Gaza from their social media accounts.

The Israeli military has reportedly warned its personnel from traveling abroad over concerns for prosecution for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Last month, a holidaying Israeli soldier was forced to flee Brazil after authorities ordered an investigation into his wartime conduct in Gaza. ⁣

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza, after Hamas and other Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to its decades-long campaign of oppression against Palestinians.

Israel's genocidal war on Gaza has led to the death of at least 48,291 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injury of 111,722 others since early October 2023.

A ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement went into effect in Gaza on January 19, halting Israel's aggressive campaign against the coastal region.
