Israeli strikes have killed more than two dozen people across Lebanon, including a rare attack on a house east of Beirut, where displaced people lived.
At least 28 people were killed and 13 wounded in Israeli air strikes in the Mount Lebanon area, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
One strike on Joun in the Chouf district of Mount Lebanon killed 12 people and injured eight. Eight people were killed and five injured in the attack on Baalshamieh. Eight people were killed in other strikes.
Earlier, the Israeli regime launched over a dozen airstrikes on residential buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The official National News Agency (NNA) said Israeli warplanes launched a series of strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Tuesday.
The NNA also reported Israeli strikes across Lebanon’s south that destroyed a building in the main southern city of Nabatiyeh.
There were also attacks on a town in the vicinity of Baalbek, in the Bekaa region of eastern Lebanon.
The city of Hermel in that region was also targeted, killing two and injuring six.
Earlier, the regime bombed a residential building in the southern city of Tyre, leaving three civilians dead and several others injured.
The Israeli campaign of death and destruction dramatically escalated on September 23 with intense Israeli airstrikes on south and east Lebanon as well as Beirut’s southern suburbs. The death toll has surpassed 3,243 since October 8, 2023.
