Israeli settlers torch Palestinian cars, homes in West Bank town

The photo by the Palestinian Wafa news agency shows the aftermath of a settler attack in an area of the occupied West Bank on November 4, 2024.

Israeli settlers shielded by troops have stormed the town of Bireh in the occupied West Bank, setting on fire Palestinian property and vehicles.

Local Palestinian media reported on Monday that settler gangs also torched olive trees in the attack.

Footage from the incident showed several charred cars and building walls.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the armed settlers opened fire at civil defense search-and-rescue workers.

In the nearby town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, settlers set fire to a parking lot and scrawled offensive graffiti on the walls.

The Israeli military also raided several areas across the West Bank. They ransacked several homes in a village in al-Khalil governorate.

The troops abducted at least three young Palestinians.

Israel has ramped up violence against the Palestinians in the West Bank since it launched the campaign of geocide in Gaza in October 2023.

The regime forces have killed nearly 770 Palestinians and abducted at least 11,500 others in the West Bank ever since.
