Fighters from Iraqi anti-terror groups have carried out a string of attacks on key positions in the Israeli-occupied territories and the strategic Golan Heights in response to the Tel Aviv regime’s atrocities against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and its bloody onslaught on Lebanon.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, said in a statement that its fighters used bomb-laden unmanned aerial vehicles to strike a vital target in Haifa on Tuesday morning.
The group stated that the strike was in adherence to its divine duty, in support of innocent people in Gaza and Lebanon, and out of its strong belief in the unity of the fields.
Later in the day, the Iraqi resistance alliance claimed responsibility for a drone strike on another key Israeli position in the Golan Heights.
“In adherence to our divine duty, in support of the innocent in ... Gaza and Lebanon, and out of our belief in the unity of the fields, our brave fighters carried out today, Tuesday, 29/10/2024, a qualitative drone operation targeting a vital target in the Golan in ... occupied lands,” it said in a statement.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has stepped up attacks targeting Israeli positions as the regime’s military intensifies its assaults on Gaza and Lebanon. The alliance has been conducting numerous operations against sensitive targets lying across the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime began waging a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
At least 43,020 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the brutal Israeli military onslaught so far.
The coalition has also carried out retaliatory attacks against the US occupation bases across Iraq and neighboring Syria over Washington’s unbridled political, military, and intelligence support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
