The Yemeni armed forces say they have targeted yet another Israel-affiliated ship in the Arabian Sea with drones.

“With the help of Allah Almighty, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out an operation targeting the ship MEGALOPOLIS in the Arabian Sea using a number of drones,” Yemen’s military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said on Friday.

He added that the vessel was targeted for violating a Yemeni ban on all shipments to Israeli ports.

He stated that the operation was carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces' Drone Air Force.

“The ship was targeted because the company that owns it violated the decision to ban entry into the ports of occupied Palestine,” he said.

Saree said the armed forces will continue to hit all ships affiliated with Israel, or headed to its ports.

He said such operations will only stop after the regime ends its blockade on the Gaza Strip and the aggression against the Palestinian territory and Lebanon.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces salute the fighters in Gaza and Lebanon and affirm that the martyrdom of the great leader Yahya Sinwar will only increase the resistance and all free people in the world's determination to continue on the path of liberation and victory,” Saree said.

"The Yemeni Armed Forces, as they inaugurate their second year of support in the battle of the promised conquest and the holy jihad, confirm their continuation in imposing a naval blockade on the Israeli enemy and targeting all ships linked to it or heading to it or dealing with it, as well as their continuation in targeting the Israeli enemy with missiles and drones, and that these operations will not stop except by stopping the aggression, lifting the blockade on the Gaza Strip, and stopping the aggression on Lebanon,” he stated.

Yemen has been conducting similar operations against Israeli, as well as American and British ships, in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since a year ago.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they will not stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.

So far, Israel has killed over 42,520 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 99,500 others in Gaza.
