Massive protest held in Paris against Israeli attacks on Lebanon

Thousands of protesters gathered at Place de la Republique in Paris on Friday to condemn Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Gaza.

Protesters could be seen waving Lebanese and Palestinian flags as many of them accused French President Emmanuel Macron of backing Israel to continue the war. Many politicians participated in the protest including, Mathilde Panot, President of the democratic socialist La France Insoumise party.

The protest was accompanied by the performance of local activists, among them members of Urgence Palestine collective and the Unitary Campaign for the Liberation of Georges Abdallah.

Similar rallies against the Israeli attacks on Lebanon were also held in several Iranian, Yemen and Bahrain, with thousands of people attending the demonstrations.
