The leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement has denounced the recent deadly Israeli strike on a tented encampment in southern Gaza near Khan Yunis, saying the occupying Tel Aviv regime continues to target displaced Palestinians with US-manufactured lethal munitions.
“Muslims have taken up deplorable stances vis-à-vis the daily genocide of Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli enemy. The Zionist regime continues to target displaced people in tent encampments and areas declared as safe zones with US-made heavy bombs," Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech broadcast from the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Saturday afternoon.
"The enemy is also enforcing a tight blockade and imposing a famine against Gazans. It is torturing Palestinian prisoners and carrying out all forms of criminal, barbaric and atrocious acts,” he stated.
He added that Zionists initially talked about their plan to build a Jewish synagogue at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East al-Quds, and they have now posted an Artificial intelligence (AI) video of the holy site burning to the ground.
“Among the primary and stated goals of extremist Jews is the destruction of al-Aqsa Mosque. The radicals are well aware of the fact that quick implementation of such a scheme will be extremely dangerous as it will stir the feelings of all Muslims worldwide. They are, therefore, setting the stage for it to happen,” the Ansarullah chief said.
He blasted Arab governments’ inaction in the face of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, stating that nothing has moved Muslims to adopt a definite and common position in support of Palestinians.
“Whenever the Muslim world is at its worst level of negligence about various crimes and hostile actions of the Israeli enemy, threats against al-Aqsa Mosque soar accordingly. The Zionist regime tends to commit more atrocities and brutalities in the West Bank and other occupied territories in light of the Muslim Ummah’s silence,” Houthi said.
The Ansarullah leader further noted that the United States is definitely complicit in Israeli crimes against Palestinians, stating that Washington pursues the same level of animosity towards the Muslim world that the Tel Aviv regime does. It sees no reservation to do any sort of harm to Arab nations.
“America does not spare any support to the Israeli enemy for the continuation of its crimes [against Palestinians]. It is deceiving the world public opinion by alleging that it is trying to establish a ceasefire in Gaza. America is pinning the blame for Israeli brutalities and the failure to secure a ceasefire on oppressed Palestinians,” Houthi said.
Houthi also hailed the retaliatory shooting operation by Jordanian national Maher Dyab Hussein al-Jazi at King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge border crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan, which resulted in the deaths of at least three Israeli guards.
“Jordanians feel attached to the Palestinian nation, and show deep sympathy to their sufferings. All this comes as the Jordanian nation is itself in danger and being targeted,” he said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Ansarullah leader condemned US-British airstrikes against Yemen, stating that two girls lost their lives and several others sustained injuries earlier this week when US and UK military aircraft carried out a strike against a school in the al-Jund area of At-Ta'iziyah district in Yemen’s southwestern province of Ta’izz.
He said the US-British coalition carried out at least 24 airstrikes across Yemen last week, hitting targets in Hudaydah, Ta’izz, Ibb, Sa’ada and Ma’rin provinces.
Yemeni air defense units, in return, could intercept and shoot down two American MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles, Houthi said.
The Ansarullah chief finally called upon all walks of the Yemeni society to take to the streets on Sunday in a strong show of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza amid the relentless Israeli ground and aerial offensives.
