A young Palestinian man has been killed after Israeli forces carried out a raid in the central West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry, as the regime intensifies its deadly attacks in the occupied territory.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing local sources, reported that Israeli troops stormed the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, located 11.4 kilometers (7.1 miles) west of Ramallah, on Saturday, and opened fire on a number of young men.

One of them was fatally shot as a result, while two others suffered gunshot wounds.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the victim as 22-year-old Ahmed Muhammad Abdel Hafeez Suleiman, stating that he was transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

Palestinian youth succumbs to gunshot wounds

Separately, a young Palestinian man has succumbed to Israeli army gunshot wounds she sustained two days ago as a result of the Israeli military’s deadly raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in the northern part of the West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry identified the youth as 20-year-old Ashraf Hani Mohammad Abdullah.

It added that he died of his wounds at the al-Istishari Hospital in Ramallah on Saturday, almost a week after he was shot and injured by Israeli forces during an incursion into the camp.

Since Israel unleashed a war on the besieged Gaza Strip in early October 2023, casualties have been rising in the West Bank as a result of intensified near-daily Israeli raids into villages and cities in the occupied territories.

More than 550 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or extremist Jewish settlers since the war began. Over 9,300 Palestinians have been detained as well.

At least 38,011 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have also been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past eight months during the regime’s genocidal war.
