Israeli drone strike targets two vehicles in Syria’s Qusayr near Lebanon border

The Israeli military has reportedly carried out an aerial assault against two vehicles in Syria’s central province of Homs, as the Tel Aviv regime presses ahead with its acts of aggression against the Arab nation concurrent with a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television news channel reported that an Israeli drone strike targeted a car and a truck outside the western Syrian city of al-Qusayr, located about 35 kilometers (22 miles) south of Homs and overlooking Syria's border with Lebanon, on Saturday afternoon.

The Beirut-based television channel didn’t say if there were casualties in the attack.

Meanwhile, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights alleged that the Israeli drone strike killed two members of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

The Britain-based Observatory claimed that the Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle fired two missiles at a Hezbollah car and truck near the city of Qusayr in Homs province, as they were on their way to al-Dabaa military airport.

It further asserted that at least two Hezbollah fighters were killed and several others wounded as a result.

The Israeli regime often conducts airstrikes on military installations in Syria, particularly those belonging to Hezbollah, which has been instrumental in supporting the Syrian army in its battle against terrorists backed by foreign entities.

The Tel Aviv regime does not acknowledge its military actions within Syrian territories, which are widely interpreted as a knee-jerk reaction to the Syrian government’s triumph over terrorism.

The recent strikes also came amid an upsurge in Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has killed at least 35,903 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Another 80,420 individuals have been injured as well.
