The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has carried out a fresh strike on an Israeli target in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Iraqi umbrella group of anti-terror groups made the announcement in a statement published on its Telegram channel early Tuesday.
The Iraqi resistance said it launched an operation against oil refineries in the port city of Haifa using drones.
It said the attack was in response to the massacres committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians, including women, children and the elderly.
“In continuation of our path in resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, this morning, 10/4/2024, targeted the Haifa oil port in our occupied lands with two drones,” the statement said.
The group said it will continue its operations as long as the regime continues its bloodshed in Gaza.
The Islamic Resistance said on Monday that it has carried out three anti-Israeli operations, targeting two barracks and a military base in the occupied Golan and the occupied Palestinian territories.

“The Islamic Resistance fighters in Iraq this morning on Sunday, 7/4/2024, targeted the western Yarden barracks in the occupied Golan with a drone,” it said in the first statement.
The resistance added that the second operation, also on Sunday, "targeted the southern Yonatan barracks in our occupied territories."
The third operation, which was carried out with drones, “targeted the Zionist Elifalit base, north of Lake Tiberias” in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Iraqi resistance noted that new anti-Israeli operations came “in support of our people in Gaza and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.”
In recent months, the Islamic Resistance, an umbrella group in Iraq has conducted a series of attacks against Israeli positions.
It has also hit US military bases in Iraq and neighboring Syria in retaliation for Washington’s support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The coalition has been staging many such attacks on Israeli targets since the occupying regime launched a genocidal war on Gaza in October.
The regime began the war on October 7 after Gaza’s resistance groups carried out a retaliatory operation against the usurping entity.
Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed more than 33,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
Iraq’s Islamic Resistance has been conducting numerous operations against targets lying throughout the occupied territories ever since the onset of the warfare.
