The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has warned that Israel’s bloody campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip has traumatized all the children in the Palestinian territory.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Secretary-General Jan Egeland of the international humanitarian organization, said, “NRC has for many years worked with and for the repeatedly war-traumatized #Gaza children through our school-based Better Learning Program. Most children got better.”
“This time Israel’s indiscriminate warfare has traumatized virtually ALL children across all of Gaza,” Egeland stated.

Furthermore, the UN agencies for children, food and health warned in a joint statement on Monday that at least 90 percent of the children under five in Gaza are affected by one or more infectious diseases.
According to a recent UN report, around 15 percent of the children under the age of two suffer from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip, where as many as 700,000 people could starve to death due to Israel severely restricting humanitarian aid to the densely populated territory.
A report by the Global Nutrition Cluster, an aid partnership led by UNICEF, said over 90 percent of children under five in Gaza eat two or fewer food groups a day. This is known as severe food poverty.
Israel has killed more than 29,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 69,000 others in Gaza since early October.
The regime ignited the brutal war machine on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.
