Al-Qassam Brigades says hit 136 Israeli military vehicles since October 27

Al-Qassam Brigades Spokesman Abu Obaida

The spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades says they have destroyed at least 136 Israeli military vehicles as part of their resistance against invading Israeli forces since the start of the ground attack on the strip.

In a televised speech, Abu Obaida said resistance fighters continue to confront Israeli forces penetrating the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City on all fronts.

"Our sniper rifles continue to target Israeli soldiers and artillery to destroy their fortifications," Obaida added.

Earlier, the brigades said their forces ambushed Israeli infantry forces in the Sheikh Ajlin area of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring a number of them.

They also targeted a group of Israeli soldiers in the south of Gaza City with Konkurs guided missiles.

The resistance factions have fired several rockets at settlements around Gaza in response to the Israeli attacks on Gaza residents.

Israel has bombarding the besieged Gaza since October 7, when Hamas staged an unprecedented ground operation into the occupied territories that caught the regime off-guard.

The regime launched its invasion of the Gaza strip on October 27, vowing to wipe Hamas off the earth.

At least 10,569 Palestinians, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women, have been killed in Israeli air and ground attacks so far.

The Israeli death toll is nearly 1,600, according to the regime.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army acknowledged the death of a new soldier in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of casualties since October 27 to 34. The Israeli army also said that four soldiers were seriously injured, adding to over 260 soldiers wounded there.

Hamas says the Israeli casualties are much higher than what the Israeli army claims.

‘Prisoner swap a priority’

Elsewhere in his remarks, Abu Obaida reiterated Hamas position that a complete or total prisoner exchange deal is the only option for Israel.

“We continue to prioritize the prisoners case, and we stress that the only way to free them is through [a] complete or gradual swap of prisoners,” he said in a televised address on Al-Aqsa TV.

He said the Israeli regime has refused to set conditions for the release of prisoners, blocking the process of releasing 12 of them.

He said it’s the Israeli regime that is hindering the efforts to release the detainees and foreigners, and putting their lives in danger.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected any general ceasefire unless all Israeli captives were freed.
