Resistance groups in the besieged Gaza Strip have launched a surprise offensive against Israel, breaking into the occupied territories along with firing barrages of rockets.
Palestinian resistance fighters attacked the Israeli regime from air, land and sea. For the first time since the 1948 occupation of Palestine, some land has been liberated by Palestinian resistance fighters. A number of towns in the occupied territories have been retaken and an Israeli military base is now in the control of resistance fighters.
Hundreds of Israeli forces and settlers have been killed and nearly 1,500 have been injured. Many others have been captured by Palestinian resistance groups.
