22 years after 9/11

Twenty-two years have passed since the attacks on September 11, 2001 in the United States. That day ended up with the loss of almost 3,000 lives as Washington accused mostly Saudis of carrying out the attacks.

The attacks were followed by the US' so-called war on terror, which has left at least five million people dead and destroyed or destabilized several countries around the world, most of those where no hijackers were allegedly from.

The US and its allies have also displaced at least 38 million people from Pakistan to Somalia, and Washington claims to be currently conducting counterterrorism activities in at least 85 countries.
