Tying the knot may not be as easy as some might think in the United States.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in four American has some sort of physical disability and for those who receive federal benefits marriage may not be a good idea.

The cost of living and health care for the Disabled in the United States is extremely high and those who are planning to get married might have to think again before saying “I do”.

Once they get married, those with disabilities might lose their desperately needed benefits, raising the issue of marriage inequality.
