In a game of few clear-cut chances, Embolo’s 48th minute strike proved the difference as Switzerland opened their World Cup account with a narrow win.
Embolo, who was born in Cameroon, barely celebrated his goal . Brazil and Serbia meet in the other game in Group G later on Thursday.
