The Palestinian resistance front has warned Israel of a heavy confrontation after the regime's military officials threatened to assassinate their senior members.

The groups issued the warning on Saturday during a ceremony to commemorate four Palestinians who were killed in an Israeli regime's raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

They said the Tel Aviv regime should await a tough military response if it carries out its threat to assassinate Palestinian commanders, adding that the Israeli troops would face death if they attack the Jenin refugee Camp.

The Palestinian groups also warned that Israeli troops will die both inside their armored vehicles and on the streets as a result of heavy fire by resistance groups.

The warning comes after Israeli army chief of staff Aviv Kochavi threatened to assassinate senior Palestinian commanders.

It also followed the killing of four Palestinians and injuring of dozens of others on Wednesday after Israeli forces carried out a raid on the Jenin refugee camp.

Israeli forces raided Jenin and its refugee camp, opening fire and shooting teargas canisters while surrounding and shelling a house that belonged to the family of a Palestinian man who was killed by the regime back in April over an alleged shooting in Tel Aviv.

In a statement on Saturday, the spokesman for Palestine’s Hamas resistance movement's branch in occupied al-Quds, Mohammad Hamadeh, said Intifada (uprising) is still alive in the souls and minds of the Palestinian people throughout the West Bank and al-Quds, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

He hailed the "epic acts of heroism and resistance" in Jenin, Nablus and all the West Bank cities, villages and refugee camps and the Palestinian people's "steadfastness in the face of settler break-ins at al-Aqsa Mosque/"

They are the "best proof that the flame of such fervent spirit is strong and cannot be quenched" unless al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque are "liberated from the occupation," the Hamas official said.

Hamadeh mourned the martyrs of Intifada, saying “their pure blood will remain a beacon that stokes the flame of the uprising and resistance against the occupation."

Intifada is a Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation in defense of al-Quds and Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli forces have recently been conducting near-nightly raids and killings in the northern occupied West Bank, mainly in the cities of Jenin and Nablus, where new groups of Palestinian resistance fighters have been formed.

More than 150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the Israeli-occupied territories since the start of the year, including 51 in the besieged Gaza Strip during Israel’s three-day assault in August.

More than 30 of those killed were either from Jenin or were killed in Jenin region.
