Israeli military forces have shot and killed a Palestinian woman in the southern part of West Bank over an alleged stabbing attempt against the regime's soldiers, amid heightening tensions in the occupied territories in recent weeks.
The Israeli military alleged in a statement that the attempted stabbing occurred close to al-Arroub refugee camp, located 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) south of Bethlehem, on Wednesday morning.
The statement added that a woman approached an Israel soldier with a knife in her hand and tried to stab the trooper.
Israeli occupation forces shot and killed 31-year-old ex-detainee in Israeli prisons, Ghufran Warasna, earlier today, at the entrance of Al-Arroub refugee camp in the southern occupied West Bank.

The ministry said the bullet entered her body under her left arm and exited on the right side.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the Israeli forces prevented its medical staff from attending to Warasnah, and they managed to do only 20 minutes after her injury.
The Israeli regime has repeatedly been provoking Palestinian Muslim worshipers’ feelings by desecrating the sanctity of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in al-Quds.
On Sunday, thousands of far-right Israeli settlers stormed Damascus Gate in occupied East al-Quds to mark the so-called flag march in the Old City.
Israeli settlers chanted racist slogans such as “Death to Arabs,” as they marched through the streets of the old city.
Israeli forces dispersed Palestinian protesters after a splinter group of settlers started waving flags inside al-Aqsa Mosque.
Medics said dozens of Palestinians were injured in the occupied West Bank amid confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers.
