UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is in Beirut to hold talks with senior Lebanese officials. He reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to supporting Lebanon, urging the country to hold parliamentary elections on time. In a press conference, he described as saddening and heartbreaking the situation in Lebanon.
