Abuse claims against UK troops in Iraq war close with no prosecution
The UK defense secretary says investigations into British troops’ alleged abuses in Iraq have closed without a single prosecution being brought. Ben Wallace said thousands of allegations against British troops serving in Iraq between 2003 and 2009 were looked into, adding that no soldiers were prosecuted. The UK and the US invaded Iraq in 2003.
