Cristiano Ronaldo has registered his 10th international hat-trick, as Portugal thrashed Luxembourg 5-nil in a Group A World Cup qualifier encounter at home.
The hosts got on the score-sheet after only five minutes of play, when the Portuguese talisman netted from the spot, before doubling the lead in the same fashion in the 13th minute.
Only four minutes later, Bruno Fernandes put the match to bed with a precise shot from inside the box.
Portugal remained merciless after the break, as Joao Palhinha headed the ball home from a corner kick in the 69th minute.
And then CR7 completed his hat-trick with a cushioned header at the back post in the dying moments of the match.
Despite the victory, Portugal remain second in the group, one point behind Serbia, but with a game in hand.
