He thanked Serbia for sending a consignment of donated vaccines to Iran and expressed hope that the two sides would expand cooperation in this field.

Amir-Abdollahian also expressed hope that a meeting between the two countries’ presidents would take place in the near future in either Tehran or Belgrade for the signing of various documents prepared between the two sides.

The Serbian foreign minister, for his part, congratulated Amir-Abdollahian on assuming his new post and thanked the Islamic Republic for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity.

Selaković conveyed Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s invitation for his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raeisi, to visit Serbia.

He also invited Amir-Abdollahian to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Summit, which will be held in Belgrade on October 11-12 this year.
