Firefighters in northern Morocco were on Monday battling forest fires for a third day, local media reported, as a sweltering heatwave scorches areas of southern Europe and northern Africa.
Video published online showed large plumes of smoke rising from mountains in the northern province of Chefchaouen as a blaze raged.
In neighboring Algeria at least 65 people died, including 28 soldiers after fires tore through forested areas in the north of the country.
