Intro 8

The lines are now clearer. The candidates in Iran’s 2021 presidential election have held their first debate, focusing on the economy. In that first direct face-off, they essentially grouped into two opposite camps and offered two divergent visions of governance. With the battlegrounds now more clearly defined, the next two debates — scheduled for June 8 and June 12 and planned to focus on politics — are bound to be even more fascinating.

As with the first debate, you will be able to not only watch the forthcoming debates live on Press TV and here, live-streaming right above this text, but also read real-time updates and commentary by Press TV correspondents.

Also, as Election Day (June 18) draws nearer, don’t forget to follow the candidates on the campaign trail on The Heat and Figures & Facts.

This is Iran’s 13th presidential election, and it will be covered here in full.
