The US has urged both Israel and the Palestinians to lower tensions and take practical steps to calm things down.
Washington announced it is sending a State Department official to the region. The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken has requested Israel to do anything in order to stop civilian casualties. However, He defended Israels right to attack Gaza. He noted that Israel is responding in defense of its people. The US backed Israeli aggression by calling it self-defense, while condemning Hamas and Palestinian resistance rocket attacks. Thats while the resistance has launched attacks in retaliation! The US says its Israels self-defense but the images tell a very different story.
