Manchester United have issued a resounding response to their detractors and advanced to the 5th round of the FA Cup after eliminating Liverpool 3-2 at Old Trafford.
The Merseyside Reds opened the scoring as Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah chipped the ball home in the 18th minute.
But before the break the Red Devils leveled the match after Mason Greenwood scored with a clinical finish from a precise cross by Marcus Rashford.
Rashford put the hosts in front with a right-footed shot to complete his solo run just 3 minutes after the break.
However the visitors did not give up and Salah completed his brace from close range in the 58th minute to equalize the match again.
United kept up the pressure and finally Portugal midfielder, Bruno Fernandes scored the winner with a brilliant free-kick from the edge of the box with 13 minutes remaining. Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s team will next meet West Ham.
