NBA: San Antonio Spurs 107-121 Los Angeles Lakers

Over the Basketball, the visiting Los Angeles Lakers have defeated the San Antonio Spurs 121 to 107 at AT&T Center.

The Lakers were the better side in the first quarter, taking it 35 to 27 before winning the 2nd with a 2-point edge that led to their 63 to 53 advantage at the intermission. Then, both teams managed to pile up the same amount of points in the 3rd quarter as they were tied at 29-all.

But the defending champions pressed the Spurs in the final frame and grabbed it with a 4-point margin to bounce back from their defeat against the Blazers on Monday. LeBron James was the best player for the Lakers as he pocketed 26 points, while Dejounte Murray bagged 29 for San Antonio.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics topped the Memphis Grizzlies 126 to 107 at TD Garden. The hosts routed the Grizzlies 31 to 19 in the first quarter, before cruising past them again at 35 to 21 in the 2nd, as the Celtics went to their locker room with a 26-point lead.

However, the Grizzlies re-grouped after the break and took the following quarters, but it was too little too late and Boston earned their 3rd victory of the season. The Celtics will travel to Charlotte to play against the Nets on Friday, while the Grizzlies will meet the Pistons in Detroit on the same day.
