The US support for the Saudi-led war against Yemen continues after it recently added the Ansarullah movement to what it calls the list of special concern. Observers see the move by Washington as an attempt to cover its role in the war and its involvement in the humanitarian violations against Yemeni people.

The move coincides with another decision by the US to impose sanctions on Iran’s ambassador to Yemen amid Washington’s recent campaign against the Ansarullah movement.

The recent US moves have been met with widespread condemnation from the Yemeni political parties as it shows US anger for supporting the Yemeni people against in their war imposed by Riyadh. Saudi Arabia, along with some of its regional allies and backed by the US launched a war on Yemen in 2015. The war has killed thousands of people, mostly civilians.

Numerous pieces of evidence confirm America's role in the war on Yemen, its military and political support for the Saudi coalition and its participation in making the world's worst humanitarian crisis according to the United Nations.
