Britain faces a period of bad weather after Storm Alex made landfall on Friday (October 2).
England, Wales and Scotland are braced for heavy rains throughout the weekend, while southern England has been subject to gale-force winds of up to 98 kilometers per hour.
Having caused similar weather in France, Storm Alex has now moved further north, with a yellow weather warning issued for most of southern England.
The storm has also resulted in a number of power outages along the coast, including the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton.
