Health workers staged a protest outside the Campo Limpo Hospital in Sao Paulo on Monday to decry what they call a lack of protective equipment and "proper conditions for work," as they battle the coronavirus outbreak.
The protesters can be seen gathering at the entrance of the Campo Limpo Hospital holding crosses and flowers to honor their colleagues who have lost their lives at the workspace, blaming the working conditions they have been exposed to and the inappropriate protective equipment they have been provided by health authorities.
Supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro have been rallying across the country during the weekend to protest against the social isolation measures as Brazil reported 66,501 cases of coronavirus with over 4,500 related deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
