The Mueller Investigation: Case of Manafort

Another sequence in a drama that has been casting a cloud over Donald Trump’s presidency since he took charge of the White House in January 2017; a more than a year-long federal probe into alleged meddling by Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, has now taken a fresh turn. For the first time, one of the people charged in connection with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has stood trial. Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort, accused of hiding over 60 million dollars income made in Ukraine, now faces 18 criminal tax and fraud counts. The case against Manafort does not involve Trump.
