US plans more military exercises with South Korea

The US Air Force has announced plans to stage military exercises with South Korea in early December. The US will use its most advanced nuclear-capable weapons and warplanes in the drills. The announcement has angered Russia and China. Moscow and Beijing say they view the move as the militarization of the Korean Peninsula by the US under the pretext of countering North Korea’s nuclear threat.
