Afghanistan’s northern district falls into Taliban

Security forces in Afghanistan have recently lost control of a key district in the northern province of Baghlan. Officials say the district fell into the Taliban’s hands after government forces decided to make what they call a tactical retreat to avoid military and civilian casualties. Others, however, blame other factors for the withdrawal.
