3 US Muslim victims killed execution-style: Police

US police say three Muslim victims in the state of Indiana were killed in execution-style.

US police have confirmed that the three Muslim victims, whose bodies were found in Indiana, had been killed execution-style.

The bodies of Mohamedtaha Omar, 23, Adam K. Mekki, 20, and Muhannad A. Tairab, 17, all of Fort Wayne residents in the US state of Indiana, were found shot to death inside a local home on Wednesday.

The state coroner’s office did not say exactly how many times the victims were shot but Police Chief Garry Hamilton reported on Friday that each was shot “multiple” times and Public Safety Director Rusty York said they were shot “execution style.”

York added that right now detectives don't have any suspects, saying, "Hopefully, you know, we'll be able to focus in on exactly what the reason was, but as I said before, no reason to believe this was any type of hate crime, or focused because of their religion or their nationality whatsoever."

In recent months, there has been an alarming trend of violence and violent threats against America's community of roughly two to three million Muslim citizens.

Less than a week ago, a Missouri man charged at a Muslim American family with a handgun, telling them, "This state allows you to carry a gun and shoot you. ... You, your wife, and your kids have to die.", however, the family managed to flee.

Islamophobia has recently spiked in the US following the recent mass shootings in California and Paris that were falsely blamed on followers of the Islamic faith.

Anti-Islam rhetoric has also hit the US presidential election of 2016, with GOP candidate Donald Trump creating a furor in the country and around the world by proposing a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims" entering the US.

The billionaire real-estate mogul also called for a database to track Muslims across the United States, and said the US would have "absolutely no choice" but to close down mosques.
