US Republican presidential candidates talk tough but ignore real immigration problems, says American writer and political analyst Mickey Z.

The author of Occupy This Book and Occupy These Photos made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Sunday, after Ted Cruz denounced the “deportation force” proposed by Donald Trump to round up and deport 11 million undocumented immigrants.

“We don’t have any system that knocks on the doors of every house in America,” Cruz told Fox News on Sunday. “That is not how the American law enforcement system works. We don’t live in a police state.”

Mickey Z. said the internet is flooded with growing, daily, hourly evidence of the police state tactics employed in the Land of the Free - especially against people of color.”

“However, this doesn’t mean we don’t have an ‘immigration problem.’ If you ask me, all the talk about lazy parasites pouring over borders to leech off another nation’s resources doesn’t go far enough in explaining the gravity of this ongoing crisis,” he added.

“Immigrants are destroying any and all hope for planetary survival. Illegal aliens are terrorists. If you don’t believe me, just ask any sweatshop worker in, say, Vietnam,” he stated.

US taxpayer-subsidized bloodsuckers

Protesters gather outside a Walmart store for a peaceful demonstration, Sept. 5, 2013, in Chicago.

Mickey Z. said, The criminal colonizers I refer to, of course, are the insatiable transnational corporations setting up camp all across the so-called Third World. Whether it be Nike, Wal-Mart, Monsanto, or any other taxpayer-subsidized bloodsucker, these crafty illegal aliens can’t be stopped by constructing a mere wall.”

“They travel with impunity - on the wings of government subvention and relentless propaganda. Thanks to decades of conditioning, even the victims of these soulless migrants will voluntarily pay for the right to wear a shirt bearing their corporate logo,” the analyst stated.

“Cruz won’t stop this. Neither will Trump or Hillary or everyone’s favorite ‘revolutionary,’ Bernie Sanders.”

Front-runner Republican candidate Trump has said he would deport 11 million undocumented workers from the United States and would establish a "deportation force" for this purpose. He has also promised to expel undocumented immigrants and build a wall on the US-Mexico border.

A convenient sideshow

US Republican presidential candidates gesture during a debate.

In his concluding remarks, Mickey Z. said, the US election cycle is “a convenient sideshow, offering the illusion of choice and participation. But the reality remains: We can’t vote away the capitalism, white supremacy, and patriarchy that combine to create the nightmare that passes for ‘normal.’”
