Cruz, Trump and Clinton threat to US national security: Analyst

International lawyer and political analyst Barry Grossman has said that by trying to goad Muslims into acts of violence, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and even Hilary Clinton are deliberately creating a threat to US national security.

Grossman, who is based on the Indonesian island of Bali, made the remarks on Wednesday during an interview with Press TV while commenting on a statement by Senator Cruz made during the fifth Republican debate on Tuesday night.

"America is at war" against Islam, Cruz began his opening statement. "If I am elected president we will hunt down and kill the terrorists. We will stop terrorist attacks before they occur.”

“Let’s remember that Ted Cruz is a fellow who even Trump, in a moment of candor, dismissed as a maniac.  Having now retracted that remark, it seems that Trump has revised his assessment of Ted Cruz and seems to be grooming him as his running mate in the 2016 election,” Grossman said.

“As for their rhetoric, it is worth remembering that despite the mass hysteria which has been systematically inculcated in Americans, statistics make it quite clear that in reality they face no material threat from terrorism of any kind, let alone from so-called Islamic extremism,” he stated.

“Indeed, more people die in the US each year by choking to death on hot dogs at baseball games than from all acts of domestic terrorism combined. Of course the same cannot be said about the threat Americans face from their own security apparatus,” he added.

“That said, these criminals - to one extent or another – each speak both for the American people and for their apparatus of state; the same apparatus that has for decades been raining down bombs on Muslims around the world,” the analyst continued.

“So by declaring their nation to be at war with all Muslims, they are in effect inviting attacks on their own people and institutions in the American homeland, since even fools like Cruz and Trump understand that a declaration of war carries with it certain consequences, including the right of those against whom war has been declared to strike back,” he stated.

Why GOP clown uses fearmongering tactic

Grossman said, “The fact that the GOP clown show has decided to use this tactic of fearmongering to win political support from America’s bigoted underbelly makes it quite clear that they actually want Muslims to attack the United States; and since both US political parties generally get what they and what their owners want, we must assume that if Muslims will not indulge them, the US war machine will continue to manufacture all the contrived terrorist events they need to sell their hate filled agenda to the American people.” 

“With that in mind, it should be apparent to all Americans that if indeed there is a genuine threat to national security in the United States, then it comes from the likes of Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and even Hillary Clinton,” he said.

“As for the myriad resistance, military or political organizations which the GOP clown show seems to  foolishly  lump together as being  one only because they are  associated somehow with Islam,  what the likes of Cruz and Trump apparently fail to realize is that if any of them were in fact committed to attacking Americans  on American soil, then the US Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House itself  would already be in flames  and no amount of bigoted rhetoric or systemic  prejudice at border crossings could stop it,” he stated.

If US can’t stop Guatemalan children, then…

Grossman said, “If Guatemalan children cannot be stopped from streaming into the United States – and despite the best efforts of  Texan hunting parties,  they cannot be – then we can be very sure that if any of the groups which both the GOP and the Democrats  like to demonize so desired,  they could easily be waiting for the likes of Cruz, Trump  or, for that matter, Clinton on pretty much any given day when they get  home after another hard day of whipping up hatred against the very peoples  around the world who the US establishment  has been systematically terrorizing for decades.”

“All I can say at this point is that Americans should be very grateful that despite the decades of oppression, violence, and poverty imposed on them by the US-led Atlantic World, Muslims everywhere almost without exception have enough sense not to engage in pointless acts of retribution and violence against their oppressors,” he stated.

“Indeed, it is reasonable to assume that it is frustration at the ‘good sense’ and ‘patience’ which is endemic to Islam that sees lunatics like Trump and Cruz – to say nothing of the FBI  - trying to goad Muslims into responding in a way that can be used as propaganda by the US war machine to still further ramp up its unrestrained war on Islam and on anyone else who refuses to accept  the US dominated  New World Order and its lawless corporatist ideology,” the international lawyer  concluded.
