A new poll suggests that Britain’s main political parties, Labour and Conservative, remain neck-and-neck in the race to the Westminster just two days ahead of Thursday general elections.

According to a YouGov opinion poll for the Sun, the Tories have lost their one-point lead over Labour, level pegging on 33%.

The poll also puts the Liberal Democrats on 10%, Ukip on 13% and others on 10%.

A projection for Sky News suggests the Conservatives would win 277 seats, Labour 275 seats, short of a majority in the 650-seat parliament.

SNP is expected to win 55, Lib Dems 18, UKIP two and other parties would gain 23 seats in the 650-seat Parliament.

Thursday’s vote is seen as the most unpredictable election in recent decades.

With neither party expected to win an overall majority to form a government, Britain is heading towards a hung parliament amid rising concerns over uncertainty about the country's future in the European Union as well as its economic policy.
